Imran Khan, a former prime minister of Pakistan, reaffirmed his claim that a senior military official attempted to murder him in a video posted on Twitter.
He warned the military establishment to prepare for being held accountable by the people and promised to reveal all the evidence upon request.
By the World Desk for India Today: Prior to his arrest on Tuesday outside the Islamabad High Court, former Pakistani prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan, repeated his claims that a top military officer had attempted to kill him.
Before departing for Islamabad High Court to make an appearance in a mutiny case and another case involving attempted murder accusations, the PTI posted a video.
He was under custody by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and its “handlers.”
Currently in power in Pakistan is a combination of three political parties known as the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

The PTI leader warned the military establishment to prepare for public accountability by promising to reveal all proof upon request.
My response to ISPR’s and PDM’s attempts to get me arrested was for two reasons:
- To stop me from running for office because, insha’Allah, I’ll be doing salsas when the results are revealed.

The current administration has been building charges against the former prime minister and has long sought Imran Khan’s arrest.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) gave the Pakistan Rangers the go-ahead to arrest the lawmaker who used to play cricket outside the Islamabad High Court.
In order to appear in court and obtain bail in the Al-Qadir trust case initiated by the NAB, Khan had earlier that day left his Lahore house. He had taken a plane to Islamabad.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media arm, also said in a sharply worded statement that Khan’s
“fabricated and malicious allegations are extremely unfortunate, deplorable, and unacceptable.”
Military and intelligence agency leaders have been the focus of insinuations and dramatic propaganda for the last year in order to achieve political goals, according to a continuous pattern.
